About Me

My name is Lindsey Barbara, Owner of All Good Things Organic and I live in Pennsylvania. I am from a family that values and appreciates the hands, which truly grow organic foods.

From a young age, I spent hours watching my mom and grandma work their magic in the kitchen. I always remember holidays as a kid were the best time of the year to sit at the dinner table because of all the unique, “once or twice a year” creations. Hours would be spent in the kitchen, no make that days would be spent in the kitchen, preparing, making lists and strategizing how just one oven was going to cook/bake all the delicious goodies.

Those holidays, special occasions, summers, falls, winters, and springs were always filled with glorious sights, sounds and smells: fresh noodle soup simmering on Saturday afternoons, a dozen different cookies baking for the holidays, with flour all over the kitchen and nightly family dinners around the small kitchen table, laughing, talking and sharing our hopes and dreams for the future.

When I think of food, I think of those memories, which bring music to my ears and a smile to my face. Home, family and the people I love are what describe my love for food. Lucky for me, my mom was so generous with her kitchen. She allowed me to create and cook, to try, to experiment, and make a mess…all to my heart’s desire!

In 2009, I stumbled upon the world of food blogs. Wow, what a discovery! At the time, I never thought about starting a blog myself, however the moment came in June 2010, when All Good Things Organic was born. Why the name you ask? Because I adopted an organic lifestyle at an early age of 10 and always thought, “all good things are organic” when I went to the store…I’ve never looked back since.

I am not a trained chef, rather self-taught and one who loves to create in the kitchen. Traveling to new lands and discovering local traditions is the way I like to learn. Although, Ireland is always my “home away from home” in the kitchen and culinary world. I capture the delicious essence and purity of all good things organic in my cooking, filling each piece with magic and love to share with the entire world.

My philosophy is simple–cooking can take you everywhere!
"Delicious. Magical. Filled with Love."
